Why we name it La-Z-Boy?

If you are wondering why we call our brand La-Z-Boy? This article has the answer for you. In 1928, our chair gained popularity. We think we needed a catchy name, while the upholstered wood slate folding chair is a bit of a long name for a product and a mouthful. So our founders held the contest with the employees at the factory. There are a lot of good names submitted, such as "Sit N Snooze", "Comfort Carrier", and "Slack Back". Eventually, the recognizable name that we all know as "La-Z-Boy" was the winner, and it is still catchy and recognizable after almost a century

Reclining on La-Z-Boy is relaxing!

It’s a small, safe, enclosed space. It enables you to sit with relaxed position. You feel comfortable there. On top of that, you’re probably alone. It may be the only alone time you get all day. It’s your chance to get away from any stresses outside. When you’re that relaxed, your brain may release everyone’s favorite happy-go-lucky neurotransmitter, dopamine. A flush of dopamine can boost your creative juices.
