Canon EOS R5 Full Frame Mirrorless Camera - Body Only is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 118.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera I love taking nightscape and asto images, running the 5D camera line I decided to take the leap into the mirrorless range even though I had a selection of EF mount lenses. With the EF/RF adaptor I didn't noticed any reduction in image quality. With the night sky images i was very impressed with the low light and high ISO ability of the R5, with built in long exposure noise reduction, while it takes its time to process it can yield very clean results. The camera has a host of other features that come in handy as well and the eye tracking is great! I have a number of shots i would have missed without the eye tracking that's for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Camera I bought the Canon EOS R5 when it was first on the market. I was upgrading from the EOS R. It is a fantastic all round camera which I have used for bird photography, portraiture, Macro and family photos. The focusing and image stabalisation, together with a 45MPixel Full Frame sensor makes it fantastic to use in any situation. I make good use of both the still photography and the video capability. The only issue I have had with the camera is that it often records a slight click noise in the audio of a video, when using the internal microphone. I suspect this is a fault in my camera that I have yet to get reported to Canon, as it is easy to fix in post processing..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon R5: Mastering Nature's True Image The Canon EOS R5 has truly revolutionised my photography, allowing me to capture the raw beauty of nature with an unprecedented level of detail and clarity. Its 45-megapixel full-frame sensor is perfect for landscape shots, offering rich, vibrant colours and a dynamic range that helps to preserve the authenticity of each scene. What really sets the R5 apart is its incredible in-body image stabilisation; it ensures sharp images even when I’m shooting handheld in challenging conditions. The autofocus is another standout, with its ability to lock onto subjects swiftly and accurately, making it incredibly reliable. Overall, the R5 is not just a tool but a gateway to bringing visions of natural beauty to life without compromise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent image quality I upgraded to the R5, from the 90D about 2 years ago now. I mainly use it for shooting surf from the land and in water (in a Aquatech housing) and love the image quality from the camera. I mainly use my old EF lenses but have just started experimenting with the RF 16mm. Good quality, great image quality, fast, heaps of features, great for video as well, great dynamic range, images can be cropped and maintain quality. Only one small downside is overheating when shooting 4k video in the water housing, but I know this is common with most mirrorless cameras.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Camera, but lacks a few key features. I bought the R5 three weeks ago and so far I have been very happy with my decision. However, given that this 2020 release is still in Canon's current product line it should have received some significant firmware upgrades in line with recent (cheaper) releases such as the R7 and R8. As it shares the digic X processor why can't we have a 1/16000 sec shutter and RAW burst pre-shooting? I find the 400mp hi-res image update to be a useless gimmick as there is no means of exporting the 9 exposures and the camera offers no in-camera alignment. Firmware updates should offer tangible improvements, no t meaningless gimmicks. Buying multiple camera bodies to get all the features is not an option. That's when I start to look at other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect travel companion! I recently took the Canon EOS R5 on a trip to New Zealand, and it was the perfect travel companion. The camera captured all landscapes with stunning detail and vibrant colors. I was equally impressed with its performance in taking beautiful, sharp portraits and accessibility as a solo traveller. The fast and accurate autofocus made it easy to capture perfect shots every time - especially whilst on tour buses. The R5’s ease of use and reliable connectivity made sharing my adventures a breeze. Highly recommended for any photography enthusiast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A steller companion for professional photographer! Upgrading my canon kit to the Canon R5 was a game-changer as a professional photographer. The R series quality and build is stunning, functional & sleek. Its high resolution, lightning-fast autofocus, and impressive dynamic range capture every detail and colour perfectly. Key features for me have been the easy control options while shooting in manual, confidently able to track moving subjects (animals and people) and ensure tack-sharp focus, even in challenging lighting conditions. I've used my R5 in a variety of conditions from studio shoots to outdoor campaigns and challenging lighting conditions and have not been disappointed once. If you're looking to invest in a quality professional camera, I'd highly recommend the Canon R5 with RF Lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant to use - excellent resolution Great camera with notable step up from 5D mkIII. I especially love the ability to see the actual results using exposure compensation as it’s adjusted. Although a wish there would be a benefit of a small integrated flash for portraits on the fly. Obviously if trying for a truely professional outcome, an external flash would be used. Occasionally the screen blacks out on replay of images. Nicely balanced, fully featured. Colour sometimes isn’t as dynamic as I recall the actual shot was. Overall however best camera I’ve owned.
