James Dyson started his journey in a coach house, gaining inspiration for the first ever cyclones from a sawmill. He then created 5,127 prototypes, to reach the first bagless vacuum. Since then, Dyson still strives to be better and problem-solving, but now on a global scale.
From bagless to uprights, to cord-free, to intelligent, and now to lightweight, the technology at the core of Dyson machines has been developed through years of hard work, investment and inventive thinking. Pioneering and patented technology is something that we take pride in at Dyson, and we will continue to improve our machines and their impact on our day-to-day lives.
Dyson technology helps create a cleaner, healthier home - Dyson vacuums and purifiers are scientifically proven to capture particles as small as allergens and bacteria. Dyson cordless vacuums are engineered for powerful cleaning with tools designed to deep clean your whole home. Dyson latest technology intelligently optimizes suction and run time across all floor types and reports on the LCD screen in real time. Advanced whole-machine filtration traps 99.99% of particles, dust and allergens as small as 0.3 microns and expels cleaner air than the air you breathe.
All Dyson air purifiers and fans feature innovative bladeless fan technology that adds an interesting aesthetic to your room while making the environment safe for little hands. Dyson’s latest purifier has advanced detection, with a new solid-state formaldehyde sensor which maintains precision for the lifetime of the purifier. It works in harmony with three other sensors to constantly monitor your air, interacting with our unique algorithm to diagnose and report pollutants in real-time.
It also has three layers of purification to thoroughly clean your air. Dyson's unique catalytic filter destroys formaldehyde continuously 1, while HEPA H13 and activated carbon filtration captures virus2, allergens and dust and removes 99.95% of particles as small as 0.1 microns.3 And the whole purifier, not just the filtration system, is fully-sealed to HEPA H13 standard4 – so what goes inside, stays inside.
Only Dyson purifiers have Air Multiplier™ technology, to purify the whole room. 5 It generates powerful circulation, drawing pollutants from every corner into the filters and projecting purified air throughout the room.
Dyson’s latest purifiers are also smart home enabled. The Dyson Link app 6 lets you control your indoor environment from anywhere, or hands-free using compatible voice services7.
Dyson Supersonic TM hair dryer uses intelligent heat control technology that measure drying temperatures 40 times per second to protect hair from extreme heat damage while drying and styling. The Dyson AirwrapTM has barrels to curl or wave, and brushes to smooth and volumise. The latest innovation in hair styling technology, the Dyson CorraleTM is the only straightener with flexing plates that shape to gather hair.
1Third party full machine testing based on GB/T 18801-2018 formaldehyde cumulative clean mass testing with continuous injection until plateau of formaldehyde CADR is achieved. Results may vary in practice.
2Tested on Influenza A (H1N1) under technical conditions resulting in reduction of airborne virus by 99% (in 28.5m3 area). Results may vary.
3Tested for filtration efficiency at 0.1 microns (EN1822, ISO29463).
4Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.
5In maximum setting. Tested for air projection, purification coverage in a 81m3 room.
6Requires device to run app, Wi-Fi or mobile data, Bluetooth 4.0 support, and iOS version 10 or Android version 5 (or above). Standard data and messaging rates may apply. App control doesn’t apply to heating.
