To qualify, you should be:

• You've been an existing Grab user for at least 6 months.
• You're aged 18 years and above.
• Your account has been fully verified.
• You're a Platinum, Gold, or Silver GrabRewards tier member.
• Your Grab app has been updated to the latest version.

If you're eligible for PayLater, you'll be able to activate it in-app, or simply launch your Grab app, tap on Finance, tap on Enjoy Now and Pay Later under Explore GrabPay.

If you don't see the PayLater option, unfortunately, this service isn't available to you just yet. All approvals are subject to Grab internal review.

Yes, you will get up to 1.5* GrabRewards per RM1 spent for every PayLater transaction (both Instalment and Postpaid), depending on your GrabRewards membership tier.

PayLater is a free service offered by retailers to you - there are no upfront fees charged or any interest accrued.

The only fee that may be incurred is admin fee to reactivate your suspended account for each missed payment. Your PayLater account may be suspended if you have overdue PayLater bill and you do not make any payments after being notified by Grab.

PayLater Instalments is a payment method for you to spread your shopping bill into 4 interest-free monthly instalments. When you activate PayLater, you'll get instant access to an available amount that you can use at any of Grab PayLater merchants.

Starting October 2024, Grab is increasing your instalment flexibility options. You can now pay in 4, 8 or 12 monthly instalments.

Ensure that you've activated PayLater on your Grab app.

• Select Grab at checkout.
• Select the Pay in Instalments option.
• Under the drop down, you can select 4, 8 or 12 monthly instalments.
• Complete the transaction by paying the first 1/4, 1/8, or 1/12 of your transaction amount.

To pay any upcoming bills, simply look out for any bill notifications so that you'll be aware of the automatic deductions that will be made to complete your payments.

• I cannot see the 8 and 12 monthly instalment options

This is because the extended PayLater instalment features (8 and 12 monthly instalments) are not available to all PayLater users yet.

• I do not want to pay in 8 and 12 monthly instalments

Grab has multiple other payment options available too - you can pay now, pay next month OR pay in 4 monthly instalments with no processing fee.

• I did not know there was a processing fee.

As you select 8 and 12 instalment options, there is a drop-down visible in-app that breaks down the processing fees applicable for 8 and 12 instalments.

PayLater Postpaid and PayLater Instalments in 4 monthly instalments have no upfront cost or processing fee. Do note that if you do not pay any of your PayLater bills on time, an admin fee of RM10 will be charged for each missed payment.

Grab have launched extended flexibility options of 8 and 12 monthly instalments to selected users starting from October 2024.

A processing fee of 1.50% (of the total transaction amount) will be charged per each instalment applicable for the 8 and 12 monthly instalment options.
