SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Retail Store Manager role is handle and oversee the day-to-day processes that are carried out in the store. Able to manage the product inventory, sales persons, goods for display, sales, etc. Main focus is to ensure that the store achieves sales targets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing store and motivating the sales team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
2. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements.
3. Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
4. Managing stock levels and purchases and ensures they stay within budget.
5. Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits.
6. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
7. Handle complaints from customers to maintain the store's reputation.
8. Oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
9. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
