Peaceful kitchen
I was sold on the Schweigen rangehood the moment it was demonstrated for us in the showroom. Not only did it look sleek and modern with the stainless steel finish, clean lines and touch controls but it was so quiet when running, even at the highest speed. I can watch the steam and cooking vapours being sucked up and away when cooking. The downlights are quite bright. I can have the overhead ceiling light off if I want. A wonderful and pleasant experience compared to our old rangehood whose annoying din permeated the kitchen with the cooking odours still evident. This was a great purchase.

A total convert
After three kitchen renovations and two disappointing rangehoods (the first a budget model that sounded like a 737 taking off from the runway; the second a high quality brand that fell well short of its "near silent" premium price), thebuilder of our current kitchen convinced us to try a Shweigen Rangehood. I was reluctant, given our past experiences, but he had me visit his own kitchen and test his Schweigen, including standing beneath where the fan/exhaust was mounted on an exterior wall. I could not believe the silence of the rangehood, both inside and outside. For us, it has proven to be an absolute winner: quiet, efficient, filters dishwashable, and looks smart. And bright dual lights - see photo. Thank you Schewigen. I love it!

Quiet, stylish, and effective rangehood
While the roar of our previous rangehood meant that we couldn't even hold a conversation in our kitchen while cooking, our new rangehood is quieter than any background sizzling/bubbling, and has become a visual kitchen highlight that has impressed several guests. It extracts our steam and cooking fumes without any trouble, and has made our cooking a much more connected experience again. Well worth the investment in our kitchen!

Does exactly what I got it for!
I had it installed in the new kitchen late 2020 so I've had it for two and a half years. Was easy enough for the builder to install and even on full blast, I'm able to still listen to music or have a conversation with someone on the other side of the room. Filters fit in my dishwasher and easily sucks up when cooking steaks without any spillout.

A Silent Knight
I have used this product for the last 5 months and I can not fault the build quality or features.
It's super quiet that sometimes I forget I turned it on and the steam extraction is beyond good.
I highly recommend this product if you have a newborn or just hate the motor in the rangehood.

Works fine, but not really silent.
The extractor fan works fine, but it’s not really silent. The external fan really does need to be mounted as far as possible from the Rangehood itself. In our case, it was 1 m and as a result, the Rangehood is about similar to any other decent quality Rangehood.
