Easy to use but too much moisture/water inside
We've had many microwaves in our lives and this SMEG microwave has a really nice and user-friendly way of setting the amount of seconds/minutes. You press just one button that adds increments of 30 seconds. It's very fast. On the down side, when heating up food for more than 3 minutes, the inside gets very moist and sometimes even has small puddles of water on the tray. We have to constantly leave the door open for it to dry inside. We have never had that problem ever in a microwave, so not sure what is causing it. Maybe because it's a dual microwave/oven?

Stylus look.
Recently looking for a new microwave after our last one stopped heating.
We came across the Smeg microwave with grill which I had to research into before purchure (which I always do) and was amazed to find that what we could do with this microware. Performing most cooking ways that was in our needs, with a control panel to make cooking easier.
The only thing my wife could find wrong was we were able to change the clock from 24hr to 12hr time. Which we can live with and get used to.
Thanks smeg hopefully your product has a longlife so we are able to continue to use again and again.

Perfect Design & Great Features
Functions range from simple to complex, but very easy to use. To open the door, simply pull the handle to release. There is no complicated push button door latch release that eventually breaks. Preheating and defrosting is a breeze. Its performance is perfect for anyone. From simple to complex cooking. Its robust stainless steel design & display compliments the kitchen. I purchased this unit five weeks ago and I am delighted with it.

Neat unit but let down by manual and control panel
Bought this to replace an 11 yr old 34L Smeg unit. The capacity of this new one seems slightly smaller but happy to have the added extra of a grill. The main issue I have with this machine is that the instruction booklet leaves more questions than it answers. It's a really nasty, cheap manual which demands the reader read very closely. There are no graphics describing what the buttons do. Only a series of difficult to decipher instructions where a lame attempt to highlight important information just ruins the legibility. A real chore to decipher.
The unit itself is a prime example of form over function. The identical 4 buttons are neat and tidy but just labeled with text. No pictograms and no variation in colour, shape or size to tell them apart. You have to read their tiny individual labels. Not at all ergonomically easy if the unit is not situated at eye level. The elderly and those with bad eyesight will certainly have a problem operating this unit. You also have to cycle through the power settings BEFORE you can set the cooking time. If you want to select 1000w it means you have to press the button 5 times before turning the timer dial. In this case the addition of a fast cook function is helpful, but you can't find it easily because all the buttons look the same. Annoying that in this day and age a manufacturer still makes a machine with such a learning curve.
I'm sure I'll get used to its shortcomings over time, but should I have to?

Easy to use
I use it every day, quick cooking but wish there some hints on how to cook & grill, especially things like bacon & reheating pizza, pies etc to retain some crispness.

This is just not worth the money. The control panel is fiddly to use and the buttons are labelled with tiny type which is difficult to read. Minimum time increments on quick access button are 30 secs. Having to set the power AND time every time is a pain. There appears to be no memory functions and there's no fan so steam can't escape leaving the interior dripping wet after cooking. This is just a cheap, nasty machine dressed up to look good.
