The Dyson RB05A features unique stain detection powered by advanced Ai technology. A precisely angled blade of high-contrast green light reveals hidden stains and dust, helping the robot identify areas that require additional attention.
Equipped with an HD camera and Ai intelligence, the robot visually inspects surfaces and identifies over 200 objects, household substances, and hidden stains. It automatically adapts cleaning power to clear messes while avoiding substances that do not require cleaning.
The green illumination operates at an optimal frequency and is engineered to be gentle on sensitive eyes, making it suitable for homes with children and pets.
The innovative wet roller continuously cleans itself during operation. Dyson’s 12-point hydration system cleans the roller on every rotation, evenly hydrating it before extracting dirt to ensure cleaning is performed with fresh water from start to finish.
For enhanced stain removal, the robot applies heated water to clean the roller, helping remove stubborn stains from hard floors and delivering a better finish.
The wet roller automatically extends up to 40 mm to clean right up to wall edges, reducing missed areas and improving edge cleaning performance.
Fresh, heated water is continuously applied throughout cleaning, helping to prevent smears across surfaces unlike some conventional robots that spread dirt with mopping pads.
The advanced Ai system automatically adapts between wet and dry cleaning modes. When carpets are detected, the wet roller raises 10 mm to prevent carpets from getting wet while the dry-cleaning roller retracts to avoid smearing wet spills.
Carpet detection also activates a suction boost of up to 4x³, enhancing cleaning performance on tougher surfaces and deeper within carpet fibres.

The anti-tangle chevron silicone roller is engineered to remove long hair and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors, while rotating side brushes effectively clean tight spaces such as wall corners and areas around furniture legs.
High-speed dToF LiDAR technology provides accurate mapping and navigation, helping eliminate missed areas for more thorough cleaning coverage.
Ai systems sample the environment seven times per second and are trained on hundreds of household objects, enabling split-second navigation decisions and obstacle avoidance to reduce collisions.
All Ai processing takes place locally within the robot’s secure processing environment, eliminating cloud dependencies and reducing the risk of data leakage.
With up to 140 minutes of runtime⁴, the robot is capable of longer cleaning cycles. When additional power is required, it automatically returns to the dock to recharge before continuing cleaning tasks.

Choose from Auto, Vacuum and Mop, or Vacuum Only modes, with adjustable cleaning frequency, suction power, and water flow settings to suit your cleaning requirements.
Create daily or weekly cleaning schedules, target specific rooms or zones, and define preferred cleaning time windows. Virtual boundaries can also be programmed to create no-go areas, helping prevent the robot from entering sensitive spaces, pet areas, or delicate floor surfaces.
